You know what really makes me wonder? I was just thinking the other day whether this blog has been useful or is it just another burden that is added... I had hoped that some of you would just blog whenever you feel like it... a place that you can pour out your burdens... and others when they read it, would tab encouraging words.... Yeah! That is the main reason and purpose of this whole blog thing.
Some of you would ask - why go through the trouble of typing out my thoughts, well, remember that 2 are always better than 1 and iron sharpens iron... you learn to be more encouraging, more expressive (this is so important because many pple are frustrated as they feel that others do not understand them!!) Of course not asking you to be melancholic and pessimistic, it is in fact teaching you to SHARE your burdens and your JOY. I've grown to learn that if you are willing to share, pple are willing to hear, can we really be pple who will love one another?- for WHO WE REALLY ARE (God will mould us to be more and more like Jesus, that's another reason why we are in Church). Its no use talking about love when we don't know how to love.
Guys, you must first love yourself before God can step in to change you. Do you love yourself for who you are, the way you think, the way you do things? time to think about this if you never think about it before. Do you accept yourself for who you are? If the answer is no, then do something about it. I rem that i really do not love myself so i tried to hide... and you know what, until your real self has emerged and been exposed, then will you truly be changed by God and His word. Until you have truly acknowledged your weakness and let go of your false identity, then will your life be changed.... until you are truly broken down before God... I am not talking about breaking your own bones or physically being wounded.... but I am talking about yielding your life, your whole life, your entire life, giving yourself completely to God---- your thoughts, your attitude, your relationship, your finances, your time, your body and most importantly... your HEART.
Do you love God from your heart? If you do, it will show in your actions and like what Teehou said, in every "little things" that you do. I am talking about the "little things"... "little". Cos in life what counts are the "little things" and you become a "bigger person" inside(your character) when all is added together.
Hmm.... ponder upon this... this has been my burden cos I always feel that the generation now is so different from where I grew up. I love trying out new things, I wanted to do everything I can while I am still young because you will never have another year where you will be 13, 14 , 16, 18 or 21 again. What do you do with your time??? Majority of it probably is sleeping, then studies... what about time for God?(ministry, cg, svc) time for family? time for friends? time for rest and relax?(shopping, movies,sports) time for TV? (some of you spend most of your time here) time for computer games? Use your time WISELY because guess what.... that is your life... if you waste it, you are wasting your life away... Start to do some planning!!
In the next few blogs... I would love to see your goals that you have set for this year. You can let your blog be as long as you want, there is no word limit you know... can you take the TIME to sit down and blog, to think and to type out... and please do a spelling check!! Never ever do anything that is not your BEST, read through your entry to make sure you understand what you are saying, to share with your friends in the cg. So that we can keep you in prayer and encourage you to reach out to your goals. Don't be shy or afraid to share, because when you share, you start to open up to the many doors and opportunities that others can help you to reach your goals. There are just some goals that you can never reached with your own effort, you never know but you will need the help of others!!!
So let us see your goals!!!
